TLDR: Pick one day this week and do all of your meetings outside, off camera.
Hello my friends, all 4,715+ of you over these past few months. If you’re loving the MMM, you can take the serendipity out of it, subscribe below, and I will drop these notes in your inbox every Monday Morning.
Simple one this week. Something you’ve definitely heard, but maybe haven’t done.
The past few weeks I’ve spent at least one day taking as many calls as possible outside. Usually 8am to 1pm or until my phone dies. That’s about 15,000-25,000 steps depending on how many parks and coffee shops I stop in.
It’s pretty simple…
Most everyone is tired of video calls
Outside > inside, especially in the middle of the day
So right now, before you lose yourself in your meetings this week, do a calendar audit. Shuffle it to free up time where it makes sense, stack 1:1’s that don’t require being face-to-face, and put a reminder that you’re taking calls outside.
If you need help prioritizing, try the Eisenhower Matrix.
My experience: more inspired & energetic calls, greater focus when back inside—devoid of intermittent Zooming, and that general feeling of goodness that comes with moving around.
Enjoy it.
See you Monday.
