TLDR: Changing circumstances shift perspectives
Regretting not writing something yesterday.
Should’ve set my alarm earlier than 4:30 for a 6am flight.
Close call. Tunnel traffic, namely.
Still made it of course. With 10 minutes to spare.
What was the constant clock-watching stress has become a Wes Anderson film on the seat back TV, a skyline view of Manhattan, and a Substack to write.
Looking down at an electrical grid where the only plausible explanation for its beauty is the simulation rendering at the speed of light.
Rows of cars commuting beneath a sky of planes doing the same.
But the real heroes are the noise cancelling headphones.
What was a stressful Uber has become a serene shift in perspective.
And I suppose that’s as good of a message as any for today.
Sometimes a shift in perspective is all it takes.
Now just waiting to catch a sunrise from 30,000 feet.
See you Monday.
