TLDR; Loss aversion is a winning strategy
Winning might be one of the greatest feelings you can have, but ‘not losing’ is a driving force that can’t be replaced.
You may not agree, but I’ve found ‘winning’ often requires both skill and circumstance, where ‘not losing’ is about skill and mental toughness.
Or as the cliché from Charles Swindoll goes:
“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”
That’s why when building teams, refusing to lose is the counterintuitive way to win.
See you Monday.
